Yes, I said it. Detoxify or die. It’s that critical to your health that it must be put in the most succinct terms. If it is shocking to you to hear, you probably need to detoxify more than most. You might not think you need to detoxify but I can assure you that if you are like the vast majority of the population, you are severely overburdened with environmental toxins from our food, plastics, pesticides, heavy metals, the air, our homes, our workplace and our drinking water. And that is just the short list of insults to your body that require you to detoxify…or die. These same toxins are passed to babies in utero and haven’t we seen an increase in learning disabilities, autism, hyperactivity and infant and childhood cancers?
In her incredibly well researched and written book, “Detoxify or Die”, Sherry A. Rogers, MD, states “You have been brainwashed into believing that the diagnosis given to your condition, a mere label, is the end of the line. But nothing could be further from (and more dangerously) from the truth. In fact, the name or label that has been given to your collection of symptoms is totally inconsequential. The only thing that matters is what caused the symptoms and whether you have enough knowledge to reverse and get rid of that cause.” In Dr. Roger’s research, she has concluded that reducing or eliminating your toxic overload burden can allow your body to do the work of healing itself and get back to its natural state of well being.

Some people are genetically predisposed to being physically thin but don’t let that fool you into thinking those people are not toxic. A person’s physical size is not indicative of either a healthy or a toxic internal body system. A heavy person who has detoxified can be technically much healthier than a person with the ideal weight and body mass index.
Being overweight or even obese, is a very common problem for many of my patients. Even though they have tried to lose weight in the past, they have never been able to sustain their weight loss because they have not done the important work of detoxifying their body so that it doesn’t need to hold onto fat stores to protect itself. Detoxifying is the most critical component of a healthy and sustainable weight loss regimen and we can help you.
